Ruth Stuart

Ruth Stuart is the Head of Strategy Development at the CIPD, the professional body for experts in people at work. She is responsible for developing and evolving the CIPD's long-term strategy and is passionate about putting people at the heart of organisations.   

Ruth joined the CIPD in 2013 as Research Adviser for Learning and Development (L&D), focusing on the latest trends in L&D and transformational change. Prior to joining the CIPD Ruth held a number of roles within Tesco plc in both specialist L&D, OD and generalist HR roles. She holds a first degree in politics and modern history, an MA in Human Resource Management and is a Chartered member of the CIPD. Ruth volunteers as council member for Leaders Plus ‚Äì a social enterprise enabling individuals to progress in their careers whilst enjoying their young families.
